Lucid Motors CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson revealed some exciting news regarding the company's electric future. This past week the flagship Lucid Air sedan achieved an impressive efficiency ratio of 5 miles per kWh.

The CEO did not specify which variant of the Air model reached this incredible record, it was clear from leaked images that it was the RWD version of their most affordable variant the Air Pure which sets the standards for EV efficiency with a rating of 4.74 mi/kWh.

This breakthrough for Lucid creates a potential scenario where Lucid can create future models for customers at a lower price range due to range efficiency. The brands in house technologies shine bright as some of the best in the world of electric mobility.

Lucid originally entered the world of EV with strict intentions of targeting the high-end premium market which is dominated by the likes of Audi and Porsche, needless to say, this made a very difficult for Lucid to compete in this market space being a newcomer by Aldi and Porsche has decades to build up their brands reputation and prestige introducing luxury electric models from these legacy automakers it's a no-brainer but lucid it's a mountain decline.

Lucid has bold plans to expand its product range beyond the expensive Lucid Air and the future SUV Lucid Gravity long-term Lucid tends to establish a more affordable model to compete with the likes of the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y. This is to enable the brand to become a global leader in the electric vehicle space to compete with those Tesla Mercedes and Volkswagen.

The CEO of the company Peter Rawlinson made clear the importance of vertical development and production to improve efficiency and to remain competitive in this continually growing EV market. The brand looks to grow its gross margins which would hopefully lead to lower MSRP for potential customers, with these new accomplishments from Lucid this becomes more reality.

The CEO also made it clear that with the company achieving 5 miles/kW. It puts the company ahead of most of its competitors in the market despite Lucid delivering significantly fewer vehicles than the likes of Polestar, Tesla, Porsche, and Audi despite all of this lucid remains optimistic because their technology often outshines others.
